This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

Italian restaurants, sub shops, calzone counters and Italian delis sit next to the pizzerias on this site because most of them bake pizza too, often from the same dough. Full-service Italian restaurants take reservations for dinner, add a tip line for table service (15-20% is customary) and usually run a cheaper lunch menu on weekdays. Sub and sandwich shops are counter-order and quick, with sizes by the inch or in half and whole lengths. Calzones and strombolis are priced like a medium pizza and are large enough to share. Italian delis and bakeries sell by weight and by the piece, and many close mid-afternoon.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. Typical hours are 11 am–8 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. Fort Myers Beach is in Florida, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Fort Myers Beach follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Legno Italian Kitchen was one of the best dining experiences we've had on our vacation. Don't let the fact that it's located in a strip mall fool you—this place is outstanding. The restaurant is newly opened and has a really cool concept, with a covered outdoor bar that flows seamlessly into the indoor dining area. There was great live music creating a fun atmosphere, and they even had the soccer match on the TVs in the bar, which was a nice bonus. Our server, Greg, absolutely made the experience. He was attentive, funny, knowledgeable about both the menu and the local area, and offered great recommendations throughout the meal. As visitors on vacation, we really appreciated how welcoming and engaging he was. The food was fantastic from start to finish. Everyone in our party loved their meals. The bone-in pork chop with mashed potatoes was cooked perfectly, the kids' pasta with a meatball was a huge hit, and the gluten-free pizza was surprisingly delicious. It's refreshing to find an Italian restaurant with excellent gluten-free options that don't feel like an afterthought. Their food is all made in house and you can tell. The marinara sauce is AMAZING! The menu has an upscale fee

Legno at Fort Myers Beach absolutely knocked it out of the park! From the first bite to the last, everything was exceptional. The Hot Honey Pizza was completely out of this world. The perfect balance of sweet, spicy, crispy, and savory. Easily one of the best pizzas my husband had in a long time. The whipped ricotta and meatballs were a solid 10/10. The ricotta was light, creamy, and packed with flavor, while the meatballs were tender and perfectly seasoned. The Clams Oreganata were outstanding. Fresh, flavorful, and prepared beautifully. Every dish that came to the table was executed with care and attention to detail. The food, modern comfortable atmosphere, and the service (even though they were clearly short staffed) made for a great dining experience. Legno is a fantastic addition to Fort Myers Beach, and we’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend!

In town for holiday and really enjoyed this place! Great atmosphere, friendly staff, great service. The beef carpaccio was more of a salad feel than true carpaccio, and the temperature of my steak was MW (I ordered MR)- BUT…. It was still delicious! I’m GF and there were loads of options for a fantastic GF meal. Would definitely recommend.

The fact that they import their bread from New York City should tell you all you need to know about this place. Top quality ingredients, expertly prepared Italian menu options and a terrific bar. Probably the best cheesesteak sandwich I’ve ever had!

Thankful to have great food back on the southend of our island. What truly makes it special though, is having all of our southend legends back together working. Feels like home again. They truly make it special.
